In this week’s podcast (free and you don’t need to download), I sat down for a special interview with the founder and president of Christians Engaged, Bunni Pounds.

“My goal is to raise up an army of Christians who will pray, vote, and engage regularly in politics, but also get them to walk with God to impact hearts wherever they go,” Bunni said.

I asked Bunni why Christians should not only pray but vote, and she quoted 1 Timothy 2:1-2--  “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness,” she said. “God cares, and God wants us to not only pray for our country but get involved and vote for politicians who share our values.”
